McLaren about the Chinese Gran Prix this weekend

McLaren has an outstanding race history in Asia. The team has won twice in Malaysia, twice in China, and once each in Singapore once Dubai.



McLaren boss Martin Whitmarsh is confident of a stronger result this weekend in the Chinese Grand Prix than in the previous two outings. In the break McLaren have used the time develop the understanding of the MP4-28 and think the changes will improve its performance.

McLaren P1

The final production version of the McLaren P1 debuted in Geneva-- A car they have used their 50 years of racing experience to build. That racing lineage is particularly evident in the car's lightweight carbon fiber technology.




 

The engine is a 3.8 twin-turbo V8 with 903 horsepower that brings the car from 0-62 mph in less than three seconds and 0-124 mph in less than 7 seconds. The top speed is 217 mph?

McLaren P1 interior shown before Geneva


McLaren Automotive has released images of its never-seen-before P1 interior ahead of the car's next unveiling at the Geneva motor show next month. McLaren's driver-oriented design ethos continues in the new P1 with a minimalist cockpit covered in alcantara and carbon fiber.  

The carbon is non-lacquered for a more natural look and greater weight savings. Other design attributes include a lack of sound deadening in the doors (Again to keep weight down) and racing-style bucket seats.

More information will be released on the new car as we get closer to its final debut in Geneva.

McLaren Wins in F1's Exciting Return to the USA

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes took home another first place trophy this weekend as Formula One  made its much anticipated return to the United States.  

McLaren's 2008 World Champion Lewis Hamilton pushed hard in Saturday's qualifying, but Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing proved quicker and started from pole position in the Grand Prix on Sunday.

A big weekend for McLaren GT racing



It was a big weekend for the McLaren GT racing teams this weekend.  The Hexis Racing Team took its MP4-12C to the top of the podium in the inaugural City Challenge GT race in Baku Azerbaijan this weekend.

Seven-time World Rally champion Sébastian Loeb piloted his McLaren 12C GT3 to two podium finishes on his debut weekend.
